Vegetarian Recipe of the Week (Banana-Cocoa Smoothie)

This week, since the weather is getting really nice where I live, I thought it would be nice to post a cool treat... something easily prepared that you can enjoy in your own back-yard. I didn't bother posting my own recipe for smoothies because it's pretty darn boring (blend yoghurt, frozen fruit, and a little bit of water and you've got a Shadow-Smoothie). So, I went to VegWeb (the BEST online collection of vegan and vegetarian recipes) and looked to see what they had to offer for smoothies. I have no idea how this tastes, since I am allergic to peanuts and bananas, but it looks delicious... so, enjoy!

Banana-Cocoa Smoothie
Recipe taken directly from VegWeb

3 or more whole frozen bananas
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 rounded tablespoon all natural peanut butter
about a cup of Rice Dream (rice milk) or soy milk

Combine all ingredients in a blender

Blend until smooth
For extra sweetness add a date or two
Serves: 1
Preparation time: about 5 min.

So, when all is said and done, you end up with:
(although, it looks like a little bit of cocoa might have been sprinkled on afterwards)

This would probably work just as well with regular ol' milk, too... and there's no reason the peanut butter has to be all natural (although one would probably prefer that it is).
