Happy Beltane! (and Artist of the Week)

Well, readers, it's that time of year! "What time of year", you say?

It's the time of year where flowers grow and passions flow. The end of Winter is marked while renewal takes over and Summer is sparked. The veil between worlds is once again at its thinnest. This is a time for magic; this is a time for fertility; this is a time for growth.

I'm not sure how many Pagan readers are here, so I will not bore you all with a long and detailed description of Beltane. I will, however, introduce the art of Mickie Mueller. Although we may not all be Pagan, we can all appreciate good art.
:-)

(all below information is taken directly from the artist's website)

"Mickie Mueller has been working as a freelance artist since 1983. This work is titled "Blessings of the Triple Goddess". This work is in "Gallery one" on the artist's page and has a nice write-up if you want to learn more about the painting.

"We all come from the Goddess,

unto her we shall return,

like a drop of rain,

flowing to the ocean."

This work is titled "Dancing the Circle". This work is in "Gallery two" on the artist's page and, like her other paintings, has a wonderful little write-up. This picture depicts dancing around the May-pole for Beltane.

"We are a circle, within a circle, with

no beginning, and never ending."

This work is titled "Beltane Grove". This work is in Gallery 3 on the artist's page and depicts the "The Great Rite" - celebrating the joining of the Goddess and the God.

"Here where Lance and Grail unite,

And feet, and knees, and breast, and lip"
